Like ancient Greek statues.
A sculpted form captured on the air
In a moment of restless emotion
Expressed in every muscle
Which propel me to action.

  • THE STORY BEHIND THE ART

    In creating "Equus" I was inspired to depict the horse as an unfinished sketch, adding a touch of antiquity like an ancient statue, weathered by time.  This horse is striking a pose in midair, he holds himself in an expression of tense anticipation.
