THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
Dawn Challenge is one of my earliest creations from 1987. It is the type of essential art that emerges when I give myself permission to paint without a pre-determined composition in mind. The colors of the pastel in my box invite me to choose them, and I am carried into a sense of reverie as I follow the lead of the horse spirit that wants to draw itself.
