About the Art
In 'Awakening,' the serenity of this grazing mare seems to whisper stories of new beginnings. As my pastels captured the essence of this tranquil moment, I unknowingly immortalized the anticipation of new life, as I later learned the mare was carrying within her the promise of a new foal. This gave the title “Awakening” even more meaning, and is a testament to the magic of the present, where seemingly simple scenes hold profound secrets waiting to be revealed.
