THE STORY BEHIND THE ART
Amoretto's owner was specific in her request to create her horse’s portrait exactly as the photo portrayed him, only adding "a little life to his eyes". Even though I had never met him, somehow I was able to ascertain his true personality and presence through his photograph – which she later admitted wasn’t even a good likeness. When she received the portrait she said, "I am speechless, I don't know how you captured him so perfectly, it’s as if you've known him all your life.”
