  • THE STORY BEHIND THE ART

    Long ago, nature had a presence, a form, and a personality. One of my greatest artistic epiphanies occurred when I realized I could see horses in elements of nature. This experience inspired me to create my Horses in the Elements Series.

    I love the wildness of this wave and the horses reflect that wildness. This painting is a great conversation starter, for when not prompted people assume this is a painting of waves. Yet upon conversation they will immediately start to count the hidden horses, as the horses start to emerge, there are usually one or two that are more challenging to find.

    This piece is part of my portfolio showcase of visionary equine art. Some works were created in pastel and are offered as fine art prints. Others are my Soul Essence Portraits, created as private commissions that honor the bond between a horse and their guardian.
