This painting was especially created for the Way of the Horse Book and Card deck, a collaboration featuring my illustrations with interpretations by the Linda Kohanov, author of The Tao of Equus and Riding Between the Worlds.
Only a great master can embody what he teaches, and Noche was true master. A teacher from Linda Kohanov's herd, Noche began to reclaim his own lost trust, when he chose to engage with humans who were most in need of his form of healing. He had the gift of allowing people to reveal their sorrows and their truths in very profound ways, and in the process he reclaimed the power of his own healing.
