"Dolly" is a rescued Saddlebred mare. When I met with her owner to photograph her, she pointed out the unusual dapple pattern in her coat, which she had heard referred to as a rare bronze palomino. She asked me to select a cloud formation for the background, so I chose this dramatic sunset to compliment the colors of her coat. When I later asked if "Dolly" had a paper name, her owner told me her name was "My Radiant Dream". Unknowingly, I had painted just such a concept in her portrait.
