Princess Wild Heart

This is an Expressions Portrait of a wonderful Arabian mare named “Sable”.  Her person, Rita, rescued her from misguided owners.   Through her life experiences and sensitive nature Sable had become afraid of people, but Rita learned how to ease her fears with patience and gentling Sable is now learning to trust and to enjoy human companionship.   She now lives happily ever after with two other horses at Rita’s beautiful Tennessee Waltz Farm in upstate New York.

My instincts urged me to avoid

To protect me at all cost

Your presence light

A balm to ease my fears
