This painting was inspired by one of my favorite models, an Arabian Stallion named Avenger. His majesty and power inspired me to depict him in ways that seek to capture his mystery. His form is so lovely that the simples of compositions portray him the best. The title of the Gerschwin Piano composition, "Rhapsody in Blue" seemed like the perfect title for this graceful, alluring piece.
