This special piece was inspired by an experience I had of being the only witness to the birth of this filly in a Wyoming pasture. Though fearful of humans, the Percheron mare responded to my respectful attitude and allowed me near. For a few precious hours, it was like being with wild horses. In my heart, I named the filly, Rain. Later, the ranch owners told me they had given her my chosen name.
